How breeding works
How does Palworld breeding work?
Every Pal has a hidden breeding rank. The child of two parents is the Pal whose rank is closest to the average of the parents' ranks, rounded up. Two of the same species always produce that species, and a set of special pairs (like Relaxaurus and Sparkit making Relaxaurus Lux) override the formula.
Can legendary Pals like Jetragon be bred?
Only from two of the same species. Legendaries are excluded from the rank formula, so no other pair will produce them.
Does gender matter?
For the formula pairs, no. A few special combinations require a specific gender for each parent; the calculator marks those.
